AIR PRODUCT SEPARATORS VS CYCLONE

SHOWN SIDE BY SIDE WITH AN OUTDATED CYCLONE

It is all too common to find a baler area like the one shown below with a cyclone. This type of environment can be a burden to keep clean and maintain. If you're looking for a solution to this issue, then the APS (Air Product Separator) units are a great option.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Air enters the air product separator in a horizontal plane, where it encounters a deflector plate that changes the airflow direction to be parallel with the face of the screen. At this point, the air flows both along and through the screen, as resistance caused by the mesh creates a layer of higher-pressure air over the surface of the screen. Material bounces off this layer and is deflected down to the discharge.
